About Us
Hello there.
We’re Monica and Allen Daeumler, the owners of Painting the PNW.
We started this company because we care about craftsmanship, creativity, and how much a well cared for space can change the way a home feels. Painting is technical work, sure, but it’s visual work too. Texture. Color. Light. Clean lines. The little details people may not notice right away...but absolutely feel.

OUR STORY
Monica got her start in painting in South Florida before moving to Oregon in 2015. Allen is a Portland area native who grew up in a family of tradesmen, including painters and carpenters, surrounded by the forests, neighborhoods, weather, and craftsmanship that make the Pacific Northwest feel like home.
Outside of work, we’re creative people who love storytelling, music, nature, road trips, old homes with character, and probably overanalyzing paint colors everywhere we go. We also share our home with a couple extremely fluffy cats who are convinced they supervise the company.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Painting the PNW was built around the idea that homeowners deserve more than rushed production work and cookie cutter contractor experiences. Prep matters. Communication matters. Product knowledge matters. And treating people with respect matters.
OUR INSPIRATION
The forests, coastlines, rainstorms, cedar tones, old craftsman homes, and natural textures around here influence the way we approach our work every day. We try to bring a little of that warmth, texture, and longevity into every project we take on.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know us a little.

What it's Like Working With Us
Real clients. Real projects.
“They were professional, friendly, and so easy to have around. We both work from home and they were so unobtrusive, I regularly forgot they were even there. And our house looks gorgeous.”
-Amy K.
“They painted the entire interior and refinished our cabinets. The house feels completely transformed. The team was friendly, communicative, and made everything stress-free.”
-Carley W.
“Our project required a lot of detail work, and they took the time to get everything right. Even though it took longer, they stuck with it until everything was perfect.”
-Marilee B.
